Well, this may not be called recipe. But this salad is so simple, yet so delicious, I just can’t keep it secret. Just combine sesame oil and salt and mix with your favorite leafy vegetables. No acid necessary. The aroma of sesame oil is so fragrant and satisfying.
I heard this from one of my Japanese friends. Once I tried, I am hooked. Spinach, mesclun, romaine, butterhead, even cabbage cut in 3″ squares… any kind of leafy greens can be used.

I love the taste of goma-shio on sekihan, so I can just imagine how lovely this dressing is going to be. Now why didn’t I think of it before? Thanks for the recipe!
