Teriyaki Salmon Recipe

Teriyaki Salmon is one of the popular menues at Japanese restaurants, and you can make it easily at home. You basically need equal amount of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to make the marinade. This convenient and easy to remember marinade can be used to make teriyaki chicken, as well. I used a fish grill here, but pan frying with a small amount of marinade works well, too.

When you look for salmon for teriyaki or Japanese style grilled fish, find the one with skin still attached to the fillet.

I served with grilled shishito peppers and chrysanthemum flower turnip. Also other grilled vegetables, such as okra, eggplants, leeks, and broccoli ohitashi, spinach ohitashi go well.
