Soboro rice bowl can be made with two or three toppings. Here I made a three topping version, with ground beef, finely scrambled eggs, and string beans. It’s one of the standard Japanese food recipes, but my recipe uses seasoned rice for sushi, just because I think soboro rice bowl tastes much better with flavored rice.
This recipe can be prepared easily and quickly. Perfect for quick dinner, and many Japanese pack this in tightly sealed container for lunch. When you eat, use a spoon or a ladle as ground beef and scrambled eggs are crumbly.
The ground beef can be substituted by ground chicken or turkey. String beans can be substituted with snow peas, depending on the availability.
