Tsukune Yakitori

Tsukune is chicken meatball, usually mixed with root vegetables, spices, eggs, flour of some sort, and flavoring. They can be skewed on bamboo stick and grilled in yakitori style or used as one of the ingredients of nabemono.

There are several steps to make tsukune yakitori. The balls are mixed and boiled first, then grilled. It seems to be a lot of work, but you can make chicken meatballs well in advance and freeze them for later use.

Ground turkey can be used for ground chicken for your convenience.

How long to grill them?

Hi Audwin, The chicken balls are boiled completely before being grilled. So that you just need to grill them to brown. 3 minutes or shorter.
